Position Overview and Responsibilities

At Sentral, we are building a team of people-first focused individuals who thrive on going above and beyond. The Bar Supervisor will be responsible for the planning, execution + inventory oversight of the beverage experience at the property bar. This position will collaborate jointly with the Lifestyle Manager + Director of Lifestyle to drive the beverage programming while ensuring that all respective amenity spaces are consistently set and activated. The Bar Supervisor will also be responsible for fostering and maintaining relationships with preferred service providers within the local community to ensure exclusive offerings are made available to residents.

This is an in-person located in downtown Seattle, WA. The shift schedule is Wednesday-Sunday: Wednesday from 9am-5pm, Thursday-Saturday from 3pm-11pm, & Sunday from 10am-6pm.

What You’ll Do:

  • Uphold Sentral’s standards, best practices, policies and procedures, and value of excellence in customer service.
  • Adhere to all food + safety protocol as dictated by city + state requirements.
  • Be the creative behind all beverage programming (i.e. craft cocktail + pre batching)
  • Oversee and manage all beverage-related inventory.
  • Execute menu offerings to compliment all member programming, resident events + activations.
  • Inspect all food + beverage areas routinely to ensure optimal conditions and report any repair or replacement needs to the respective Directors + Lifestyle Manager.
  • Oversee and own budget, cost analysis + P&Ls
  • Drive event activation and execution
  • Manage all beverage purchases, inventories and stock levels within the operation.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with distributors/liquor representatives.
  • Acknowledge and promptly greet all guests who walk through the bar
  • Manage the welcome experience alongside the Lifestyle Team throughout shifts to ensure that every guest/resident is being equally serviced.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Department to ensure that the property remains well-maintained.
  • Create beverage menu(s) consistently, as required.
  • Drive sales by upselling products consistently during shift(s).
  • Follow all cash handling procedures throughout shift(s) to ensure transactions are properly managed.
  • Assist with member, resident + vendor concerns/questions + the facilitating of a solid hospitality experience to the greatest of one’s capabilities.
  • Remain knowledgeable of Sentral Life App content and Resident Events + activations,
  • Manage community lighting and music levels throughout the day.
  • Adapt to business needs and demands
  • Safely utilize all equipment within the bar and property
  • Perform other related duties and assignments as needed and assigned

    Skills and Experience

    • Previous Bar Supervisor +/or Bar Manager Experience in mid to high volume establishment. 2 years (required)
    • First-hand experience crafting original cocktail + mocktail menus
    • Inventory management + oversight experience
    • Previous POS experience (i.e. Micros, Square, etc.) required
    • Relevant Training Certificate(s)
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to balance multiple projects and priorities
    • High level of proactiveness and self-initiative, requiring minimal supervision
    • High level of confidentiality and integrity
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
